Hello, and welcome! I’m Dr. Michael Leptic, a mental health professional, professor, researcher, and life coach. I hold a Ph.D. in Psychology with honors specializing in addictions from National University (formerly Northcentral), a Master of Arts in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. With over 23 years of experience, I’ve managed various employee facets, including behavioral health and education roles. I’m also a Registered Psychology Associate through the Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists and the District of Columbia Department of Health.

I am currently employed as a registered psychology associate, working with patients with mental health and addiction-related issues, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. As a crisis clinician, I worked with patients with dual diagnoses, helping them stabilize from mental health crises and connecting them with community-based resources for ongoing long-term support.

As an adjunct faculty member at Southern New Hampshire University, I teach various psychology courses, including Abnormal Psychology, Introduction to Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Foundations of Addiction, Research Methods, and Research Statistics. I firmly believe that education, whether in traditional or non-traditional forms, is crucial for our society. We should provide educational opportunities to those seeking intellectual advancement.

I am eager to continue my work in the mental health and addiction field, significantly expanding my roles in clinical psychology, higher education, and research.
